Our story

Valegro came to our family at the end of the summer of 2014. When we first saw the pictures of the two boys in the litter, we were choosing one with red and another with blue collar. Everyone at home voted for the one that wore the red collar. When we went to see the puppies for the first time in person, the breeder said something that made the decision quick & easy: “I would take the red one. He is more elegant.” That was Valegro and he went home with us that day.

As a puppy he was a handful. But as he grew up, everything changed. He became not just a dog, but a true member of the family.

Through Valegro I learned the world of dog shows. When I handled him myself, it often felt like he was so happy he could help me in the ring, proudly showing off — and he wanted to lead me as if he was showing me how it needs to be done. He is incredibly intelligent, the kind of dog that often makes me think: if only he could talk.

One of his funny little tricks is that, if asked, he can gently pinch someone’s behind with his front teeth — something that always surprises people and makes everyone laugh.

I am very grateful to our breeder for trusting me with Valegro, and later with Blue Berry as well. Having these two boys in my life has been a true gift.
